ABOUT US KCIC
‘Affecting lives positively, Raising kingdom citizens’

Senior Pastor
Simeon Gbenga Olowoyo
Kingdom Citizens International Church
Although the set man of KCIC, Pastor Simeon Olowoyo, gave his life to Jesus Christ in April 1983; through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, he discovered God's call upon his life same year. However, the encounter that gave birth to KCIC did not happen until June 10, 1988, on his birthday, back in Nigeria. Through an Abraham-like encounter, the Lord said to him 'Son, I am taking you to Britain because I have an assignment for you there'.
This led to a journey of nearly three decades of following the Lord and serving him, together with his wife, under a few ministries. All through this journey of divine preparation and school of waiting, the word and vision remained vividly clear to them, but the time and place was not yet revealed. The Lord told Simeon to continue to serve him faithfully and he will come for him at the right time like he did to Moses at the back side of the desert.

True to his words, the Lord began to speak to his servants over a period of a year until they both became fully persuaded. At this junction, they duly sought and received the blessings of the leadership of God's Vineyard Ministries, where they served last before going into the new assignment.
Kingdom Citizens International Church & Ministries (KCIC), the new assignment, is given the mandate to ‘affect lives positively and raise kingdom citizens’. The Lord instructed that KCIC should be built after the pattern of the early church.

Our Story
And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. Gen. 21:1-2 (KJV)The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. 2 She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God had said it would. Gen. 21:1-2 (NLT). All through the ages, God’s integrity has never and can never come under question. When he speaks, you can consider it done already. The only time God’s word or promise can be stopped or aborted is when he himself is stopped; that is, when he becomes extinct. The good news is: God is the everlasting One, he is self-existent and has no beginning nor end. He holds all things together by the word of his mouth and life and death is in his hands. So, when he speaks, he has more than what it takes to fulfil it.
The conception and birth of KCIC, after twenty-nine years of waiting, is a result of God’s integrity and commitment to his word. The Lord kept his word as he did for Sarah and KCIC is born at the set time appointed by him. Even though the enemy came like a flood to kill the man child, God preserved it because it is born of him (1 John 5:4). God can keep his word and fulfil his promise to you, if only you can wait for his set time in your life. Many struggle, when they are in haste and run ahead of God. As such, they end up trying to help God like Abraham and Sarah did in Genesis chapter 16. Self - help can lead to the rise of Hagar and birth of Ishmael and cause generational problems if care is not taken. It is equally not wise to compare our journey with others because God’s plan and purpose and timing is different for each one of us.
God is never late, and there is no delay with him. When it looks like he is coming late – according to your timing – he is only coming bigger than you can ever think. The case of Lazarus is a good example for consideration (John 11). God makes all things beautiful in the time he has chosen for it.The season of waiting is one of the toughest experience in the school of the Spirit. However, no greatness is born by emergency and in an instant. Although we are in a generation where everything has become ‘instant’ (instant noodle, instant chicken etc); heaven’s agenda and purpose does not follow such principle. God operates by the principle of process. He takes time to prepare the men and women who will represent him adequately and carry his word, grace and glory to the nations of the earth. They are not made in an instant. The donkey Jesus rode to Jerusalem in Matthew 21: 1-11 bore the pain, discomfort and sacrifice of waiting to have one glorious ride of his life, which no other donkey had. There is gain in waiting and God is not a waster of time, resources and life. God uses time and our waiting to mature us, prepare, equip, strengthen and fortify us for the weight of divine task and glory he has ordained for us. The donkey learnt patience, gentleness, humility, focus, how to be alone and be satisfied, vision and purpose, brokenness, and readiness to fulfil destiny.
In the process of being tied down, the donkey was weaned from wandering spirit, eating junks all around, pursuing self-pleasure and worldly desires. After discovering his purpose was to carry the King of kings to Jerusalem, he became focused on getting ready for the Master and getting it right. It was just one ride of his life which he cannot afford to mess up. So, he began to learn how to walk patiently, gently, majestically and with such dignity and honour that befits the Lord of the universe. Once he knew why and what he was being tied down for, every haste and agitation disappeared out of his life. Like Joseph, if only we can catch a glimpse of what God has prepared for us, our focus will change and we will learn to ask God to prepare us adequately for what he has prepared for us. It is time to prepare for the one ride of your life. God is not late, he has it all worked out, under control and he knows what he’s doing (Jer. 29: 11-14 Message). This is God’s Word on the subject: “As soon as Babylon’s seventy years are up and not a day before, I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. (Jer.29:10-11)
